Bishkek hosts scientific and practical conference dedicated to people's revolutions

Bishkek, March 24, 2025. /Kabar /. A scientific and practical conference on the topic: "Goals and lessons of people's revolutions" was held in Bishkek today, timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the March revolution of 2005 and the 15th anniversary of the April revolution of 2010, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov.

In his speech, Edil Baisalov emphasized that people's revolutions played a key role in continuing the process of formation of Kyrgyz statehood, became stages in the maturation of the nation and the establishment of true democracy. According to him, it was thanks to the determination of the people in these fateful days that the foundations for the construction of a free society and accountable government were laid. "The revolutions of 2005 and 2010 became milestones in the development of our statehood, expressed the will of the people for fair and open governance. Today we can say with confidence that Kyrgyzstan has a democratically elected leadership that works for the sake of the people, for their well-being. We have achieved a sustainable improvement in the standard of living, and new horizons are opening up for us for the rapid socio-economic development of the country," Baisalov noted.

He emphasized that the state continues the policy of strengthening the rule of law, protecting the rights of citizens and ensuring justice as a foundation for further growth and modernization.

Concluding his speech, Baisalov expressed confidence that the conference will become an important platform for understanding historical lessons, analyzing the passed path and developing proposals that contribute to the sustainable and progressive development of Kyrgyzstan.

The conference brought together leading experts, scientists, political and public figures who discussed the impact of revolutionary events on the development of the country and outlined guidelines for the future.
