Bishkek shares waste recycling experience with Almaty

Bishkek, May 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Delegation from Kazakhstan, led by Deputy Akim of Almaty, Olzhas Smagulov, visited a waste recycling plant in Bishkek.

According to the Bishkek city administration, the delegation included representatives of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Investment, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Almaty, as well as representatives of investment and environmental organizations.

Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Ramiz Aliyev led the delegation on a tour of the plant. During the visit, the participants were introduced to the plant's production facilities and modern technologies for sorting, processing, and energy recovery of municipal solid waste.

Furthermore, plant representatives presented current environmental solutions and described the waste management and environmental safety mechanisms they employ. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of modern solid waste management technologies and the development of environmental infrastructure.
