Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev met with minibus drivers at Depot-2, who will be providing transportation for the VI World Nomad Games.
According to the Bishkek City Hall, in preparation for the international sporting event, the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure of Bishkek City Hall will deploy 300 minibuses. They will provide free transportation for residents and visitors to the Kyrchyn Gorge.
Transportation services will be organized in three main directions:
- Bayet village – Kyrchyn Gorge;
- Cholpon-Ata hippodrome – Kyrchyn Gorge;
- Zharkynbaevo village – Kyrchyn Gorge.
Furthermore, 15 reserve vehicles with drivers have been allocated to quickly replace faulty minibuses and ensure uninterrupted service.
Addressing the drivers, Aibek Dzhunushaliev emphasized that participation in providing transportation for events is voluntary. The mayor also emphasized that the mayor's office will cover all expenses associated with the drivers' participation in event transportation.
