Businesses in Kyrgyzstan receive state guarantees of 30.8 billion soms, Kasymaliev says

Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. From 2020 to 2025, state guarantees totaling 30.8 billion soms were provided to 18 economic entities, Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev spoke at Jogorku Kenesh. According to him, 9.5 billion soms in interest-free loans were issued to small and medium-sized businesses through 12 banks, with 11,860 borrowers.

"In 2025, a separate project to support small and medium-sized businesses was launched, providing 500 million soms in loans at a preferential rate of 12%. Register of bona fide taxpayers was also created. Companies included in the register are exempt from scheduled inspections and enjoy VIP services from government agencies," he said.

Head of the Cabinet noted that the business sector has demonstrated significant growth. “Based on the results of the first nine months of 2025, the gross value added generated by small and medium-sized enterprises increased by 46%, reaching 641 billion soms. The share of SMEs in the gross domestic product increased from 42.6% to 51.7%. The total number of enterprises reached 20,300, of which 616,900 were active business entities,” he reported.

Kasymaliev reported that 12 reforms aimed at improving the business environment were implemented as part of the government accelerator program. These measures significantly simplified the procedures for obtaining licenses and permits, issuing permits for construction and land transformation.
