Bishkek, Oct. 20, 2025 /Kabar/. On October 20, the first meeting of the defense ministers of the Central Asian states was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, ministry of defense reports.
According to the information, delegations from the Defense Ministries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan attended the event. The Kyrgyz delegation was headed by Defense Minister Ruslan Mukambetov.
The defense ministers of the Central Asian states laid wreaths at the "Mourning Mother" monument as part of the meeting. At the end of the meeting, a number of final documents were signed. As noted by the ministry, on October 21, Defense Minister Ruslan Mukambetov will participate in observing the active phase of the joint regional exercise "Birlik -2025". The exercise will also involve troops of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan.
