Bishkek, Aug. 27, 2026. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz State Agency for Tourism Development participated in the international forum "Trade Dialogue in Central Asia - 2026," which was held on August 20-21 in Osh.
According to the agency, Erdenet Kasymov, First Deputy Director of the agency, raised the issue of simplifying border crossings for tourists during the forum's section "Tourism as a Cross-Border Cluster."
Specifically, the following initiatives were proposed:
- creating "green corridors" for tourist groups at the borders;
- introducing a unified tourist visa for Central Asian countries.
These initiatives are aimed at simplifying border crossings for tourists, developing joint tourist routes between the countries, and creating a unified tourism brand for Central Asia.
Following the two-day forum, representatives from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan agreed on joint actions to develop regional clusters and began work on coordinating the final communiqué.
