Bishkek, Sept. 23, 2025. /Kabar/. Zhejiang official underscored the province’s openness and commitment to deepening cooperation with neighboring countries during a recent meeting with foreign media representatives in Hangzhou.
Zhao Cheng, Director of general Publicity Department, CPC Zheijiang Provincial Committee noted at the meeting that in April this year, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a conference on relations with neighboring countries.
He said that President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the event, outlining goals, tasks, and strategic measures for future work, while emphasizing the importance of building a community with a shared future with neighboring countries.
According to him, against the backdrop of an increasingly complex international landscape, China remains committed to fostering strong ties with its neighbors. Zhejiang, as one of China’s most open provinces, is ready to work together with media outlets from neighboring countries to enhance cooperation, particularly in the economic and trade sectors.
Zhejiang has established several major platforms for international exchange, including the Liangzhu Forum and the Wuzhen Summit of the World Internet Conference. The province also hosts an international communication center, which foreign representatives visited during their stay. The official expressed hope that media from neighboring countries will help share the story of China’s path to modernization and highlight Zhejiang’s role in this process.
“I have had the privilege of visiting many of your countries, including Malaysia, Cambodia, and India. It is a great pleasure for me to meet all of you here, and I warmly welcome you to visit Zhejiang more often,” he said.
A delegation of young leaders from political parties and media outlets of neighboring countries of China visited Zhejiang Province from Sept. 17 to 19 for a study and exchange program focused on digital innovation, grassroots governance, and cultural exchange.
