Chyngyz Aitmatov Youth Prize to be awarded every three years

Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2026. /Kabar/. Chyngyz Aitmatov State Youth Prize will now be held every three years, rather than every two. Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Marat Tagayev announced this at meeting of Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Science, Education, Innovative Development and Information Technology, Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs. He noted that the funding amount has also been increased, from 100,000 to 200,000 soms.

"The prize will be awarded in 11 categories," he said.
