Bishkek, Nov. 4, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship of SPECA holds a special significance. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev told at the Economic Forum of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA), currently taking place in Bishkek.
The head of the Cabinet emphasized that Kyrgyzstan views its chairmanship not merely as the fulfillment of international duties, but as an opportunity to contribute to the development of a new quality of regional cooperation.
"Issues of mutual connectivity are of strategic importance for the SPECA countries. Kyrgyzstan has been working consistently in this direction, and today we can point to concrete measures and results. Kyrgyz airlines have been removed from the European Union’s aviation safety list.
Furthermore, the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway is actively underway; this will help reduce cargo delivery times, expand the transit potential of our region, and strengthen the trade and economic ties between SPECA countries and external markets," noted Adylbek Kasymaliev.
