The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold an extraordinary meeting on Monday, 25 August 2025, at the Organization’s headquarters in Jeddah. The meeting will discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, as well as the intensification of the occupation’s continuous assaults on the holy sites. It will further address the humanitarian and political situation, the escalation of starvation crimes, genocide, siege, and all forms of forced displacement, in addition to any other emerging developments.

The meeting will also deliberate on the situation and the grave challenges facing the Palestinian cause and Al-Quds Al-Sharif, which are witnessing dangerous shifts due to the unprecedented Israeli aggression across all parts of the Palestinian territories. The session will examine ways to unify the efforts of OIC Member States at the international level in order to exert further pressure for the implementation of UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions.

The agenda includes statements by several foreign ministers, notably the statement of the Chair of the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, as well as the adoption of the draft resolution to be prepared in this regard, along with the approval of the draft agenda and the program of work.

The extraordinary session will be preceded by a preparatory meeting of senior officials on Sunday, 24 August 2025.

The program of the senior officials’ meeting, which will be held with the participation of representatives of Member States and OIC organs, will include several statements, in addition to the review of the draft resolution and the adoption of the draft agenda and program of work of the Council of Foreign Ministers.
