EAEU plans to develop a common market for public procurement

Bishkek, Aug 5, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, Minister of Finance Ruslan Suinaliev held a meeting with Maxim Ermolovich, Member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission - Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation.

As reported by the department, during the meeting, they exchanged views on issues of expanding mutual cooperation in the field of public procurement, improving relevant legal mechanisms, introducing digital solutions and mutual recognition of electronic digital signatures.

The parties also discussed the improvement of the regulatory framework governing public procurement within the EAEU, clarification of the procedure for using the electronic auction mechanism, as well as the possibilities of purchasing pharmaceuticals through international specialized organizations.

As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation, continuing joint work, and developing a common market for public (municipal) procurement within the Eurasian Economic Union.
