Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2026 /Kabar/. During a working visit to Moscow, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev participated in a regular meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
During the meeting, 48 issues were reviewed, covering the development of the agro-industrial complex, the state of mutual trade among EAEU member states, the development of transport and energy infrastructure, and integration cooperation in the digital sphere.
Particular attention was paid to the development of the agro-industrial complex of EAEU member states. A draft was reviewed regarding joint forecasts for the development of the agro-industrial complex and supply-demand balances for key types of agricultural products, food, and agricultural raw materials for 2026–2027.
The joint forecasts aim to ensure a balanced common market, utilize the production potential of member states more effectively, expand mutual trade, and establish new production facilities.
The meeting also addressed the state of mutual trade among EAEU member states in 2025. Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with EAEU countries in 2025 amounted to 5.9 billion USD, a 2.4-fold increase compared to 2020.
Separate attention was given to the development of transport infrastructure and the implementation of priority integration projects involving EAEU member states. In particular, the meeting addressed the issue of amending the list of priority integration infrastructure projects in the transport sector.
Projects from Kyrgyzstan included in the list are the electrification of the Lugovaya–Balykchy railway section, the construction of the Balykchy–Kochkor–Kara-Keche–Makmal–Jalal-Abad railway, and the reconstruction of the Bishkek northern bypass road.
Furthermore, participants discussed the creation and development of transport infrastructure across EAEU member states along East–West and North–South corridors, including efforts to align these initiatives with China’s "Belt and Road" initiative.
A draft decision by the EEC Council regarding amendments to the rules for the mutual trade of electricity within the EAEU common electricity market was reviewed.
As part of the digital agenda, the meeting examined an action plan for the creation, operation, and development of the EAEU integrated information system for 2027.
The issue of improving the regulation of medical device circulation within the EAEU common market was also addressed. Specifically, discussions focused on amendments to the rules for the registration and assessment of the safety, quality, and efficacy of medical devices; these changes aim to refine regulatory mechanisms and prevent substandard products from entering the markets of member states.
Following the EEC Council meeting, appropriate decisions were adopted regarding the issues discussed.
