Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2025. /Kabar/. EAEU is creating a single transport and logistics space to overcome global challenges, Arzybek Kozhoshev, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, at the plenary session of the international forum Eurasian Logistics Day in Moscow.

The event is organized by the Association of European Entrepreneurs and the International Coordination Council for Trans-Eurasian Transport.

As Arzybek Kozhoshev noted, the EAEU is focused on three priority areas: ensuring the unhindered movement of goods, increasing the efficiency and connectivity of the transport system, and creating a common market for transport services. These goals are achieved through international coordination, infrastructure projects, and the implementation of digital technologies that eliminate barriers and open up new opportunities for global logistics.

The digitalization of transport, in particular, through the introduction of electronic consignment notes, navigation seals and the implementation of the concept of Intelligent Transport Systems, will significantly increase the efficiency of international logistics, make it seamless and reduce administrative barriers. Ultimately, all this will have a positive impact on the growth of trade turnover between countries, noted Arzybek Kozhoshev.

At the same time, the EAEU is actively working on cooperation with global initiatives, including the One Belt, One Road initiative, the Northern Sea Route and the Trans-Caspian route. The modernization of the ports of Astrakhan and Aktau and new railways, along with the acceleration of the development of the North-South corridor from the Baltic Sea through the Caspian Sea to the Indian Ocean, is already having a positive impact on the growth of cargo transportation.

The transport infrastructure of the EAEU countries is actively transforming, facing geopolitical, economic and technological challenges. However, the prospects remain optimistic: thanks to joint initiatives, digitalization and international cooperation, the region can become a key node of the global transport system, said Arzybek Kozhoshev.
