Eldik Bank to receive $1 million in assistance for climate projects

Bishkek, July 30, 2026 /Kabar/. The Ministry of Finance and the Asian Development Bank have signed a document on providing technical assistance in the amount of $1 million to "Eldik Bank" OJSC.

According to the ministry, the funds will be used to improve financing for climate change-related projects, develop a risk assessment system, and create new financial opportunities for clients.

The project will expand access to financing for climate initiatives for farmers, entrepreneurs, and agricultural enterprises. Special attention will also be paid to supporting women-led businesses.

The project is being implemented as part of the Climate Investment Funds' pilot program to enhance climate resilience.
