Elections 2025: 3 parties, 106 self-nominated candidates registered as of October 8

Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. Three political parties to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, Deputy Chairperson of Central Election Commission (CEC), Aidana Zhupuyeva, told Birinchi Radio.

According to her, the CEC has received written applications from the Legalize, Kyrk Uuz, and Yntymak parties.

Zhupuyeva noted that as of October 8, 106 self-nominated candidates had submitted applications to the CEC expressing their intention to participate in the elections.

Next step for the political parties is to hold conferences where they will select and nominate their candidates for constituencies. The list will be submitted to CEC.

Furthermore, district boundaries were discussed with the participation of presidential envoys to the regions, akims, and mayors of two cities. Following this, CEC approved the boundaries of 30 districts. Applications from self-nominated candidates are currently being accepted," she said. The final deadline for self-nomination of candidates is October 30 at 6:00 PM. After this deadline, candidates' documents will be verified within three days, and, if necessary, they will be given the opportunity to submit missing documents. CEC will then approve the lists and register candidates within seven calendar days.

The campaign officially begins on November 10, Zhupuyeva explained.

As a reminder, according to President Sadyr Zhaparov's decree, election day is scheduled for November 30, 2025. The Central Election Commission is currently preparing for the elections in accordance with the approved calendar.
