Bishkek, June 5, 2026. /Kabar/. Bishkek marked World Environment Day and the professional holiday of environmental protection workers of Kyrgyzstan.
The event was attended by representatives of the presidential administration, the Parliament, international organizations, the business community, employees and veterans of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision.
First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision Zhenish Seidaliev delivered a congratulatory speech.
In his speech, Seidaliev said that the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision consistently implements the state environmental policy aimed at preserving the country's natural resources and strengthening climate and environmental stability.
"Since Kyrgyzstan is a mountainous country, the consequences of climate change are felt particularly acutely. In this regard, the issues of environmental protection, adaptation to climate change, achieving carbon neutrality, rational use of natural resources and development of the "green economy" are among the priority areas of state policy," he said.
As the Deputy Minister noted, today's environmental agenda requires a systematic approach and joint efforts of the state, the scientific community, international partners and civil society.
