Expanded meeting of Eurasian Intergovernmental Council kicks off in Cholpon-Ata

Issyk-Kul, Aug. 7, 2026 /Kabar/. Expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC) has begun at State Residence No. 2 in Cholpon-Ata.

The meeting will address more than 15 important issues on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) agenda.

As a reminder, yesterday, August 6, the EIC meeting was held in a restricted format. It was attended by the heads of government of the EAEU member states: Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev.

The expanded meeting will discuss a range of issues related to the further development of economic cooperation within the EAEU, expansion of the common market, and deepening integration processes.
