Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2025. /Kabar/. A two-day Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Business Forum opened in Bishkek on Tuesday, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan reported.

Minister Bakyt Sydykov noted that this is the first time in almost 15 years that such a forum is being held.

He emphasized that the event coincides with Kyrgyzstan’s CAREC Chairmanship and precedes the 24th CAREC Ministerial Conference, set for November 20.

“Today we are witnessing profound changes in global supply chains, the growing importance of multimodal routes, and the rising strategic significance of Central Asia as a connector between major global markets,” Sydykov said.
“In this new environment, CAREC countries face simultaneous challenges—infrastructure, technology, environment, logistics—alongside new opportunities for investment, integration, and interregional trade. That is why the CAREC Business Forum plays a key role, creating platforms for B2B and B2G cooperation.”

Sydykov added that Kyrgyzstan, as CAREC Chair and an active member, will continue to advance initiatives focused on improving regional connectivity, sustainability, digitalization, and investment attractiveness.

The forum gathered private-sector leaders, government representatives, international financial institutions, and innovative companies from CAREC countries. More than 200 participants represented key sectors such as logistics, digital commerce, fintech, agritech, green energy, and sustainable tourism.
