FMs of Kyrgyzstan and Indonesia hold talks on development of halal industry

Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2026. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeenbek Kulubaev held a meeting with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting took place the day before in Geneva within the framework of the High-level segments of the UN Human Rights Council and the Conference on Disarmament.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Indonesian cooperation, and noted the importance of intensification of political dialogue, organization of high-level visits, strengthening bilateral ties, and strengthening interaction within the framework of the UN and other international organizations.

The parties also agreed to strengthen economic ties through business forums and expressed interest in establishing cooperation in the development of the halal industry in Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual readiness to further strengthen multilateral and bilateral relations and expand practical cooperation.

The importance of activating interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries and developing permanent political consultation mechanisms was also noted.
