Issyk-Kul, Sept. 5, 2026 /Kabar/. “Kyrgyzstan’s culture has deeply touched me,” renowned Hollywood actress Bai Ling said today, Sept. 5, during a press conference in Cholpon-Ata.
According to the actress, she was particularly impressed by the scale and atmosphere of the events held as part of the 6th World Nomad Games.
“The music, this land, its rich culture, the inseparable connection with nature and traditions — all of this touches the depths of my soul. I truly feel at home here because my homeland, China, is so close, right behind these mountains,” Bai Ling said, adding that she had never witnessed anything quite as impressive and epic.
The actress also shared her impressions of the region’s natural beauty. Despite the chilly water, she said she swam in Lake Issyk-Kul, an experience that left her feeling energized.
Bai Ling especially praised the warmth and exceptional hospitality of the Kyrgyz people. She said their generosity could be seen even in small gestures, recalling how a local taxi driver recognized her and gave her a ride free of charge.
“I really enjoy the local cuisine and culture, but most importantly, I appreciate the sincere kindness and love of complete strangers. I am incredibly grateful for this warm welcome,” she said.
