New Delhi, Dec. 12. 2025 / Kabar /. Representatives of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India stated that the upcoming IndiaAI Impact Summit has attracted significant international interest, reflecting India’s growing role in shaping the global artificial intelligence ecosystem.
Speaking at a meeting with foreign journalists visiting India, Additional Secretary Abhishek Singh noted that the Summit has already seen broad global participation. According to Indian officials, the event will feature three major global AI challenges that have received thousands of applications from around the world.
The AI for All challenge received more than 1,350 applications, 21 percent of which were international. The AI by HER challenge attracted over 800 applications, including 17 percent from outside India. The YUVAi challenge recorded approximately 2,500 applications, with international participation accounting for about 10 percent.
In total, more than 15,500 registrations were submitted from 136 countries, including 76 countries from the Global South. Finalists will have the opportunity to present their solutions at the IndiaAI Impact Summit and compete for monetary awards and other incentives.

Over the past 120 days, nearly 250 pre-summit events were organized across around 20 countries, 20 Indian states and union territories, and 75 cities, engaging approximately 125,000 participants. To date, 248 events have been completed, with a further 89 events approved and scheduled.
According to officials, this extensive international outreach demonstrates India’s commitment to inclusive, responsible, and democratized artificial intelligence development, and underscores the country’s ambition to play a leading role in global AI governance.
