Bishkek, Aug. 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz students won gold and silver medals at the III International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI 2026).
According to the Ministry of Education, the Olympiad was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from August 2 to 8, and more than 400 schoolchildren from 106 countries participated in it.
Yan Bobrus, who represented Kyrgyzstan, won a gold medal, Sabyr Alymbekov a silver medal. Aivar Tynchtykbekov received a Certificate of Honor, and Aruuke Sulaimanova became a participant in the Olympiad.
As a result, the Kyrgyz national team took 15th place in the overall ranking of countries.
At the IOAI Olympiad, schoolchildren perform tasks on machine learning, data analysis, and the development of artificial intelligence models.
