Astana, Nov. 7, 2025 / Kabar/. The award ceremony for the winners of the URKER National Media Awards took place at the Kazmedia Ortalygy cinema and concert hall in Astana. The finalists received the title of Winner, along with a certificate, a commemorative URKER statuette, and a cash prize of 1 million tenge.
This year, the competition featured 11 categories, attracting over 400 submissions from journalists across the country. The best works were selected by an independent jury composed of respected journalists and media managers.
The URKER National Media Award, established in 2017, recognizes outstanding achievements in print, radio, and online journalism. The award aims to discover talented journalists and creative teams, acknowledge their contribution to the development of professional journalism, and draw greater public attention to their work.
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan and the Media Development Fund, with support from sponsors Qazcontent JSC, Kazakh Gazetteri LLP, and the Sport+ TV channel.
