Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2026 /Kabar/. The opening ceremony of the cultural event "World of Nomads" will take place on September 2 in the Kyrchyn Gorge, in Kut-Ordo area, as part of the VI World Nomad Games. The WNG media headquarters reported.
The Kyrchyn Gorge will become a space where the history, culture, and philosophy of nomadic civilization will come to life in the large-scale artistic production "World-Life."
The opening ceremony aims not only to present the rich cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people but also, through the language of art, to communicate to an international audience the values that have united nomadic peoples for centuries: respect for nature, unity, family, freedom, mutual assistance, and the pursuit of peace.
The central event of the ceremony will be the artistic and philosophical production "Düynö-ömür" (World-Life). This unified theatrical composition will reveal the history and spiritual world of nomads through music, choreography, theatrical performances, equestrian performances, and expressive visual imagery.
The production consists of seven interconnected sections: "Bashat" (Beginning), "Köch" (Nomads), "Tort tuluk" (Livestock), "Toy" (Celebrations), "Sogush" (War), and "Köchtün ketishi"(Nomads' departure) "Kyzdy uzatuu" (Farevell to bride) and "Düynö-ömür" (World-Life).
"Each part is a separate page of a larger story. It will depict the birth of the nomadic world, nomadism itself, the special relationship between humans and the land and wildlife, traditions and family rituals, national games and holidays. A special place is given to the theme of war and its devastating consequences, as a reminder of how fragile peace is and how precious human life is," the media headquarters emphasized.
The final part of the production, "Düynö-ömür" (World-Life), will be a symbolic return to the ceremony's main idea: life continues where there is peace, unity, and spiritual renewal.
The large-scale production will feature actors, musicians, dancers, salbuurun masters, stuntmen, and equestrians. Their performances will unite into a single artistic performance, where traditional art and modern theatrical designs will create the atmosphere of a grand cultural celebration.
The "Birimdik Kerbeni" (Caravan of Unity) will be a special symbol of the ceremony. A ceremonial caravan, attended by representatives of Kyrgyzstan's regions and foreign guests, will enter the Kut-Ordo territory, symbolizing the unity of people, nations, and cultures.
The caravan, consisting of representatives of Kyrgyzstan's regions and foreign guests, will ceremoniously enter the Kut-Ordo territory, accompanied by the leader of the nomad camp, water keepers, and choro, to the sounds of ceremonial music.
The aksakal (elder) leading the caravan will bring a kökör, a traditional vessel containing sacred water, and present it to President Sadyr Zhaparov. The head of state will pour the sacred water from the kökör into a specially prepared trough.
"At this moment, water will begin to flow from the mountaintop in Bashat Square like a waterfall. The stream will flow continuously throughout the cultural events, symbolizing the source of life, unity, and continuity of generations," the statement reads.
It is noted that "World of Nomads" will be one of the significant cultural events of the 6th World Nomad Games and will present Kyrgyzstan as a country with a rich historical heritage, unique culture, and deep spiritual traditions.
Through music, art, traditional rituals, equestrian performances, and theatrical scenes, Kyrchyn will tell the world the story of nomadic civilization—the story of a people who lived for centuries in harmony with nature, preserved their traditions, and passed them on from generation to generation.
"World of Nomads" is not only a story about the past. It is an appeal to the present and future, based on simple and eternal values: peace, life, unity, and respect for people and nature.
"Kyrchyn will become a meeting place for cultures and generations, where the history of the nomadic world will come to life in the open air and the ceremony's main message will be heard: life is continuous movement, and its continuation is possible only in harmony with man and nature," the media headquarters says.
