Bishkek, Oct. 21, 2025 /Kabar/. On October 15, Omurbek Tekebaev, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Germany held a series of meetings with representatives of Hamburg business community, in Hamburg, Germany, Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
The main topics of the talks were the supply of German equipment to Kyrgyzstan, the introduction of advanced technologies, the promotion of Kyrgyz agricultural exports to the German market, and the development of direct contacts between enterprises of the two countries.
During the meeting, issues of providing guarantees for export transactions between Kyrgyz and German companies, particularly for industrial equipment supply were discussed with management of Euler Hermes, one of the world's largest operators in export credit insurance and risk management. The parties expressed interest in developing mechanisms to reduce risks for Kyrgyz importers and increase the trust of German partners.
During negotiations with Intertek representatives, special attention was paid to the construction of a modern laboratory in Kyrgyzstan for certifying agricultural and food products in accordance with European Union requirements. This project will allow Kyrgyz producers to directly access European markets and significantly enhance the competitiveness of national products.
Tekebaev also met with M. Novak, head of LUNO-Gruppe, a company engaged in personnel training, to discuss prospects for cooperation in internships and the exchange of experience between specialists from the two countries.
Furthermore, meeting was held with Dr. M. Heine, CEO of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to discuss expanding interregional ties and establishing direct contacts between businesses in Kyrgyzstan and Hamburg. They focused on prospects for Kyrgyz companies to participate in exhibitions and business forums held under the auspices of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
