Kyrgyz Cabinet head discusses bilateral cooperation with Armenian Parliament speaker

Bishkek, Sept. 4, 2025 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet reported that during the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to cooperation with Armenia, the basis of which is the historically established long-term relations of friendship between our peoples. A political dialogue has been built between the two republics and an interstate legal framework has been formed.

"At the same time, we need to strive for more advanced forms of cooperation that will take the current potential of relations to a qualitatively new level," he said.

Adylbek Kasymaliev continued that one of the main mechanisms for the development of trade and economic cooperation should be the Kyrgyz-Armenian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. The second meeting of the commission is planned to be held in Bishkek in early 2026.

In turn, Alen Simonyan expressed gratitude for the hospitality and warm welcome. He noted the commitment of the republic to further development and deepening of bilateral cooperation in various fields. Alen Simonyan noted the importance of establishing direct flights between the two countries, developing the potential for cooperation in the field of innovation and technology, organizing the Days of Armenian Culture in Kyrgyzstan and the Days of Kyrgyz Culture in Armenia.

During the conversation, the parties noted the importance of intensifying mutual trade, developing cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, and expressed their readiness to strengthen interaction in all areas of mutual interest.
