Kyrgyz Cinema Days to be held in Istanbul

Bishkek, March 16, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Cinema Days will be held on March 24-26 at the historic Atlas Cinema in Istanbul, Turkiye, the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy reported.

The main goal of the event is to promote Kyrgyz cinema at the international level, expand cultural cooperation between the two countries and familiarize Turkish viewers with the modern achievements of Kyrgyz cinema.

The program of the Cinema Days includes the following films:

"Black. Red. Yellow" by director Aktan Arym Kubat;

"Kachkyn" by director Dastan Japar uulu;

a new work by director Ruslan Akun called "Beyish 2".

"These films artistically reflect the life of Kyrgyz society, human destiny, national values, and modern social issues. This event will reveal the unique style and content of Kyrgyz cinema to an international audience," the report says.
