Bishkek, Dec. 3, 2025. /Kabar/. Major reform of civil status records has begun in Kyrgyzstan. Civil registry office certificates are now available in digital format through the "Tunduk" app and the e-services portal. Starting April 14 in Bishkek and Osh, and starting May 1 nationwide, the issuance of paper certificates duplicating data from "Tunduk" has been discontinued. Exceptions are provided for citizens over 50, socially vulnerable groups, and cases where the document is required for use abroad.
New forms have been approved for five documents:
- birth certificates,
- marriage certificates,
- divorce certificates,
- name change certificates,
- death certificates.
Each certificate is now available in two formats: digital, generated in the Automated Information System "ZAGS", contains QR code, and can be printed on a regular sheet of paper; and printed, secure, strict accountability form for international use.
