Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic, led by Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ulukbek Maripov, is participating in the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), held from 23 to 27 November 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
Within the framework of the UNIDO General Conference, on 25th November the head of the Kyrgyz delegation, Ambassador Ulukbek Maripov “Connecting Europe and Central Asia with the Arab Region for Sustainable Industrial Growth: Technology Transfer and Investments” a key dialogue took place. In his speech, Ambassador Ulukbek Maripov presented the Kyrgyz Republic’s position regarding opportunities to deepen interregional cooperation within the UNIDO Country Partnership Program (PCP) for the Kyrgyz Republic, signed and launched in 2025.
Ambassador Ulukbek Maripov emphasized that the PCP opens a new phase of comprehensive reforms and partnerships fully aligned with the Kyrgyz National Development Strategy until 2030. He also highlighted the high potential for cooperation with Arab countries in renewable energy, agro-processing, industrial modernization, digital technologies, and innovation.
At the side event “The Transformative Role of a Just Energy Transition for Industrial Development”, held on 24 November 2025, Ambassador Maripov emphasized the Kyrgyz Republic’s commitment to the global agenda for a sustainable and just energy transition through the development of green energy, environmental safety and sustainable growth.
