Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2025. /Kabar/. Ministry of Education held a meeting with representatives of the UN World Food Program (WFP) and the World Bank.

According to the ministry, event was attended by the Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, Deputy Minister Albert Makhmetkulov, heads of relevant departments of the ministry, Head of School Meal Program, WPF in Kyrgyzstan Joonyeol Lee, and the World Bank's senior education specialist Gulmira Sultanova. The meeting discussed the issues of increasing the number of kindergartens under the Education for the Future project and providing preschool education to younger children.

Minister Kendirbaeva noted that using the empty part of the school building as a kindergarten is necessary. She also made suggestions for optimizing the buildings of existing kindergartens, that is, increasing the number of groups by organizing play areas instead of bedrooms.

UN World Food Program announced that it is ready to provide 15 kindergartens with the necessary kitchen equipment on a pilot basis.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached a number of specific decisions on the effective use of funds and the coordination of planned activities.
