Bishkek, Feb 23, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic - Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev participated in a ceremony handing over specialized machinery to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Cabinet of Ministers said. During the ceremony, the keys to 116 units of specialized machinery were handed over to Minister of Emergency Situations Urmatbek Shamyrkanov. Speaking to the event participants, Adylbek Kasymaliev congratulated the rescuers on Defender of the Fatherland Day, noting the special significance of this day, which symbolizes courage, heroism, and the sacred duty of defending the Motherland, which holds a worthy place in both the past and modern history of the country. He noted that today's event is a continuation of the systematic work to strengthen the material and technical resources of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Over the past five years, the Ministry of Emergency Situations has acquired 652 vehicles and specialized equipment, investing 7 billion soms. Today, the Ministry of Emergency Situations units received an additional 116 units of specialized equipment, marking one of the largest modernization efforts since independence and demonstrating the complete renewal of the Ministry's fleet.
Kasymaliev also noted the high professionalism of Kyrgyzstan's rescuers, who carry out complex missions both domestically and internationally—from deep-sea diving in Lake Issyk-Kul and rescue operations at the summit of Lenin Peak to providing assistance to earthquake victims in Turkiye.
Concluding the event, the Cabinet head expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel for their daily, dedicated service in preventing emergencies and eliminating their consequences, and wished them good health, family well-being, and new professional achievements.
