Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2026. /Kabar/. European Commission supported the export plan for Kyrgyz honey and added it to the special list of the European Commission's technical regulations permitting imports into the European Union.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, this confirms the compliance of Kyrgyzstan's national control and certification system with EU requirements.
This decision by the European Commission contributes to expanding the market for Kyrgyz honey producers and increasing the competitiveness of domestic products in international markets.
Efforts had previously been made to introduce Kyrgyz honey to the European market, but due to strict EU certification requirements, exports of Kyrgyz honey were impossible.
Ministry will continue to expand the list of domestic products granted access to the EU market.
