Kyrgyz products may enter Omani market

Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Oman have discussed opportunities to expand exports and introduce Kyrgyz products to the Omani market. Ministry of Economy and Commerce reports.

The meeting took place on October 6 and was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the Oman Investment Authority.

The parties examined prospects for supplying Kyrgyz products to the Omani market, developing cooperation in the halal industry, and implementing joint investment projects.

Particular attention was paid to potential formats for investment cooperation, including the establishment of a joint investment fund and the mechanisms for its operation.

Furthermore, discussions covered the further development of the legal framework for bilateral cooperation, including a draft agreement on economic cooperation that provides for the creation of a Kyrgyz-Omani intergovernmental commission.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue work on specific joint initiatives.
