Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2025 /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz-Turkish business forum is being held at the Ala-Archa state residence as part of the 12th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The forum identified the light and food industry, the agricultural sector and processing, energy, transport and logistics, IT and digital economy, and the tourism sector as priority areas for investments in Kyrgyzstan, and it was reported that Turkey is the leading investor in Kyrgyzstan.
For example, in 2020-2024, investments amounted to $1.449 billion, and mutual trade turnover amounted to $2.3 billion. Also, during the forum, Kyrgyz and Turkish businessmen raised the issues of developing trade and economic cooperation and implementing investment projects.
It is worth noting that the Organization of Turkic States actively cooperates in more than 35 different areas, from foreign policy and trade to energy, green economy, tourism, digitalization and space exploration. The business forum is organized by the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, and is attended by relevant government bodies and businessmen of both countries.
It should be noted that the 12th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held earlier, as a result of which the protocol of the intergovernmental meeting and other documents were signed.
