Issyk-Kul, Sept. 4, 2026 /Kabar/. Volunteer Uulai Zakirova of the VI World Nomad Games in Kyrchyn told Kabar news agency about her work, assistance to foreign guests, and the conditions created for volunteers.
According to her, the volunteer workday begins at 10:00 AM and lasts until 6:00–7:00 PM. Uulai works in the ethnic food court, where she treats guests to traditional Kyrgyz drinks.
"I distribute free traditional Kyrgyz drinks to foreign and local tourists," she said.
Volunteers also help foreign guests navigate the Games grounds. According to Uulay, her knowledge of English and Turkish helps her communicate with guests and point them to the right places.
"Some of our volunteers speak English, so we help guests find the right places. I also speak Turkish, which helps me understand our guests better and explain directions to them," she noted.
One memorable incident, she said, was the story of a seven-year-old girl who got lost on the Games grounds, and the volunteers helped find her.
She also noted that good conditions have been created for volunteers at the Games. She noted that meals and necessary work and rest conditions are provided, allowing volunteers to fully perform their duties throughout the workday. Overall, according to Uulai Zakirova, the volunteers' main task is to help guests navigate the Games grounds, answer their questions, provide necessary information, and create a comfortable atmosphere for participants and visitors.
