Kyrgyzstan and Korea expand cooperation in small business support

Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2026 /Kabar/. Ravshanbek Sabirov, Head of the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with In Tae-yeon, Chairman of the Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) of Korea, the National Investment Agency reported.

During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding Kyrgyz-Korean cooperation in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), exchanging expertise, and implementing effective business support mechanisms.

Ravshanbek Sabirov highlighted the importance of creating conditions to attract investment for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. He expressed Kyrgyzstan's interest in expanding cooperation with Korean partners, fostering investment and entrepreneurship, and leveraging practical experience to implement new projects within the country.

Following the meeting, the National Investment Agency and SEMAS signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The document outlines plans to develop collaboration in small business support and the exchange of expertise.

The memorandum establishes a foundation for the further development of joint initiatives aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, attracting investment, and strengthening Kyrgyz-Korean cooperation.
