Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and South Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in trade and investment.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the document provides for the development of cooperation in industry, investment promotion, trade facilitation, the halal industry, critical minerals, digital transformation, and the chemical and textile industries.
The memorandum was signed following a meeting between Kyrgyz Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov and South Korean Minister of Trade, Industry, and Resources Kim Jong-kwan.
The document is being implemented through a Trade and Investment Cooperation Committee, chaired by deputy ministers of the two ministries.
Cooperation will also develop in the areas of business environment, technical regulation, intellectual property, and other areas.
The signing of the Memorandum is aimed at further strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the countries.
