Kyrgyzstan and Shandong province strengthen strategic partnership

Bishkek, April 23, 2026. /Kabar/. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Benazir Nurlanova met delegation from Shandong Province (PRC) in Bishkek.

According to the ministry, the delegation was led by Chen Baiwei, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of the province. The delegation also included the heads of the provincial departments of industry, information technology, and commerce. Benazir Nurlanova noted the Kyrgyz side's interest in strengthening its partnership with Shandong Province and further expanding economic cooperation.

Kyrgyz side is interested in attracting high-tech investments aimed at modernizing the country's industrial sector. Key priorities include the creation of joint industrial parks, the development of transport and logistics infrastructure, and the training of qualified engineering personnel.

"Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan guarantees foreign partners a favorable investment climate and comprehensive state support at all stages of project implementation," the statement says.

Furthermore, as part of the Chinese delegation's visit, dialogue between the business communities of the two countries was organized through B2B negotiations. Representatives of more than 22 Chinese companies discussed specific investment initiatives with Kyrgyz entrepreneurs aimed at strengthening industrial potential and developing a long-term strategic partnership.

Following the meeting, the parties solidified their intentions by signing two strategic documents:

Industrial Development

The Protocol on Strengthening Cooperation in Industrialization provides for the active participation of Chinese enterprises in Kyrgyzstan's regional industrialization program. This includes the launch of new production lines and the creation of high-tech clusters, including joint ventures for the assembly of metalworking equipment and CNC systems.

Human Resources

The Protocol on Cooperation in Vocational Training and Internships lays the foundation for the development of qualified engineering and technical personnel at leading industrial sites in Shandong Province.
