Kyrgyzstan and Thuringia strengthen cooperation in education and economics

Bishkek, April 1, 2025. /Kabar /. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev received a delegation from the federal state of Thuringia (Federal Republic of Germany) headed by President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Erfurt Dieter Bauhaus.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, with a special emphasis on promising areas for the development of partnership in the field of vocational education and economics.

Daniyar Amangeldiev emphasized the importance of the visit of the delegation from Thuringia to strengthen mutually beneficial ties between Kyrgyzstan and Germany. He noted that over the past three years, relations between the parties have demonstrated steady growth and positive dynamics.

Particular attention was paid to the successful implementation of the memorandum of cooperation, thanks to which in September 2024 the first students from Kyrgyzstan were given the opportunity to take a three-year course of dual vocational education with an internship in leading companies in Thuringia.

"Obtaining a quality education is an absolute priority of the state policy pursued by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. We highly appreciate the interest of Germany, and in particular Thuringia, in providing our youth with opportunities to obtain vocational education," Daniyar Amangeldiev emphasized. He confirmed Kyrgyzstan's readiness to further develop mutually beneficial partnership aimed at meeting the needs of both the Kyrgyz and German economies for highly qualified personnel.

Dieter Bauhaus expressed gratitude to the Kyrgyz side for its active support of the educational project and noted the high level of training and motivation of Kyrgyz students. He also expressed hope for further expansion.
