Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye: New action plan to expand cooperation

Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2025 /Kabar/. The 12th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held under the chairmanship of Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Minister, and Cevdet Yilmaz, Vice President of the Republic of Turkiye.

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz expressed gratitude for the hospitality and excellent organization of the meeting, reaffirming Ankara's commitment to further developing cooperation in many areas. He noted the importance of increasing mutual trade turnover to $5 billion and expressed hope for increased Turkish investment in Kyrgyzstan.

During the meeting, reports on industry-specific issues were presented, key bilateral issues were discussed, and achievements in the economy, investment, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, tourism, healthcare, culture, and education were noted.

The parties confirmed their readiness to quickly implement the agreements reached and, following the meeting, prepared a new Action Plan covering the main areas of cooperation. Following the meeting, a signing ceremony was held for the following final documents:

- Minutes of the 12th Meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation;

- Memorandum of Understanding between the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change of Turkiye;

- Action Plan between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Organization for the Development and Support of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises of the Republic of Turkiye (KOSGEB).

We are determined to strengthen our economic cooperation in new level, Adylbek Kasymaliev concluded.
