Bishkek, March 2, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev met with the Head of UNICEF's Representative Office in Kyrgyzstan, Samman Jung Thapa.
As reported by the department, at the meeting the parties signed a joint action plan to support adolescents and young people for 2026-2027.
The document is aimed at creating a sustainable system of youth support and developing volunteer work in accordance with national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals.
During the discussion, the UNICEF representative thanked the ministry for its active partnership and noted the importance of moving to a two-year planning cycle.
As part of the implementation of the work plan, special attention will be paid to the development of digital tools. In particular, it is planned to revive the U-Report platform, modernize the volunteer.kg website, develop a mobile application for volunteers, and systematically integrate digital platforms into the state youth policy.
The ministry will continue its work on the development of youth policy and strengthening international partnerships.
