Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. On the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York, a meeting took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Foreign Minister of the Union of the Comoros Mbae Mohamed. Following the meeting, a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was signed.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the conversation, Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev expressed confidence that the establishment of diplomatic relations would open up new opportunities for developing and strengthening bilateral ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Union of the Comoros. The parties also discussed key issues of cooperation, including intensifying political dialogue and interaction within international organizations, such as the UN and the OIC.
Mutual interest in the further development of friendly relations was reaffirmed, and a readiness to work together to expand bilateral cooperation was expressed.
