Bishkek, Aug.13, 2026. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan and the Chinese company China Southern Power Grid International discussed prospects for investment cooperation. This was announced during a meeting between Energy Minister Altynbek Rysbekov and China Southern Power Grid International President Zhang Heng.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed cooperation in the electric power sector, including the modernization of energy infrastructure, the development of power grids, the implementation of digital technologies, and energy storage systems.
Following the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed. The document provides for the creation of a joint working group that will coordinate cooperation and identify promising projects for further technical and investment development.
