Bishkek, July 31, 2026 /Kabar/. During the state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kyrgyzstan, two important documents aimed at further strengthening investment and economic cooperation between the two countries were signed.
In particular, a second supplementary agreement was signed amending the agreement on the establishment of the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, dated October 11, 2022, providing for an increase in the fund's authorized capital from $100 million to $200 million.
The increase in the fund's capital will significantly expand opportunities for financing joint investment projects, supporting entrepreneurship, and attracting Azerbaijani investment into the Kyrgyz economy.
In addition, a Roadmap for the implementation of the Cooperation Program between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan for 2024–2029 was signed.
It is noted that the document defines specific joint activities in key areas of bilateral cooperation and establishes a systemic monitoring mechanism for the implementation of agreements reached, which will contribute to increasing the effectiveness of joint initiatives.
