Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia discuss prospects of bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2026 /Kabar/. On February 23, 2026, in Geneva, on the sidelines of the high-level segments of the UN Human Rights Council and the Conference on Disarmament, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia Prak Sokhon.

According to Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Cambodian cooperation, reaffirming their interest in intensifying political dialogue, expanding the legal framework, increasing trade and economic cooperation, and student exchanges. Particular attention was paid to mutual coordination within the UN and other international issues.

Following the meeting, a commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations was confirmed through high-level reciprocal visits and regular political consultations between the foreign ministries.
