Bishkek, July 9, 2026 /Kabar/. The department of sustainable waste and wastewater management of Ministry of Ecology held a working meeting with representatives of Eurolos, a manufacturer of modern wastewater treatment equipment.

According to the ministry, the parties discussed the prospects for introducing local wastewater treatment facilities and wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) to modernize wastewater infrastructure, primarily in recreational areas, tourist clusters, and settlements without centralized sewerage systems.

It was noted that Eurolos equipment, made of monolithic plastic, provides a full biological treatment cycle and is a more reliable replacement for outdated concrete septic tanks, which over time lose their seal and pollute groundwater.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue exchanging technical information, reviewing pilot projects in Kyrgyzstan, and exploring the potential for long-term cooperation.
