Kyrgyzstan and the European Union intend to strengthen cooperation in criminal justice, including in areas such as the digitalization of criminal proceedings, combating cybercrime, financial investigations, and the recovery of criminal assets. Acting Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Malik Bekturganov told during the meeting with EU Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Rémi Duflo.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the parties also discussed Kyrgyzstan's accession to European Conventions in the field of criminal procedure, improving the qualifications of prosecutors, and expanding their practical participation in European Union programs.
During the meeting, they noted the importance of further developing practical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the EU.
