Bishkek, Aug. 21, 2025 /Kabar/. A temporary ban has been imposed on the export of farm animals (cattle, horses, sheep and goats) from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The corresponding decision was signed by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev.
This resolution was adopted in order to ensure food security of the country and stabilize market prices for food products.
A temporary ban has been established for a period of six months on the export from the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic of cattle classified by code 0102 of the EAEU TN VED, horses classified by code 0101 of the EAEU TN VED, sheep and goats classified by code 0104 of the EAEU TN VED, with the exception of: transit through the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic; sports horses for participation in competitions; horses donated to foreign states, international organizations or individuals.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Customs Service, the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, and the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security are instructed to take the necessary measures to prevent the illegal export of farm animals.
The resolution comes into force on the day of its official publication.
