Bishkek, Feb. 27, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan has seen an increase in the production of meat, eggs and milk.
According to data of the Ministry of Agriculture, during the reporting period of 2025, economic entities of all categories produced 32.09 thousand tons of meat in live weight in the republic, which is 513 tons or 1.6% more than in the same period last year. Meat production has increased in all regions of the republic, mainly due to an increase in the number of livestock and poultry.
According to preliminary results of the accounting of livestock and poultry in the republic as of the end of 2024, the number of cattle compared to last year increased by 1.5%, sheep and goats - by 1.1%, horses - by 2.0% and the number of poultry increased by 10.5%.
Milk production. In January 2025, milk production in the republic amounted to 85.1 thousand tons, which is 781 tons or 0.9% more than in the same period last year. Milk production in farms in all regions of the republic has increased due to an increase in the number of cows by 1.8% and their productivity by 3.4 kg (106.5-103.1) compared to the same period last year.
Egg production. During the reporting period, 46,567 thousand eggs were produced in the republic, which is 4,093 thousand more or 109.6% compared to the same period last year. Egg production has increased in all regions of the republic due to an increase in the number of poultry by 10.5% compared to last year.
