According to Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu, director of consular department, since the beginning of 2026, Kyrgyzstan has issued approximately 61,000 work visas to foreign citizens, out of a total annual quota of 100,000.
"The main flow of specialists into the country comes from China, Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh," he said.
The company hiring foreign citizens bears full economic responsibility for expired documents and violations of immigration regulations. To avoid large fines, employers have begun to monitor their employees' documents.
According to official data, approximately 5,000 illegal migrants are expected to leave Kyrgyzstan by the end of July 2026. Currently, approximately 500 people have already received exit visas for voluntary and unimpeded return to their homeland.
